I am a fiber artist in upstate NY who creates wearable art garments and art quilts. I have been teaching quilting classes for the last 15 years, but am now retired to be able to do my own work and discover what new adventures lie ahead in working with fabric and thread-plus all the other stuff I’ve accumulated. I hope to post new quilts with my thoughts about their creation and what I have learned and experienced doing them.
Hi, Nancy,
I enjoyed browsing your site and seeing your lovely work. I made a coat (similar to your bog coat, pattern named Kandu or something similar?) several years ago and it’s time to make a new one. Your double-sided ones (especially the Night and Day) look so clever. In Mississippi we have so little cold weather that a light (but beautiful!) coat is plenty. Your beading and hand-quilting really give your work a special look!
I have my first solo show up right now and some neat invitations have come from it. My blog (www.marthaginn.blogspot.com) has some pictures and information if you want to take a look.
Good job on your new web presence!

Nancy, I am so enjoying becoming re-acquainted with you! Your “Sign of Spring” is delightful! I especially like the geese.
As an old lady, I am having some wonderful surprises reading blogs. I am only able to see your blog by going to Joanna’s website and seeing her blog, leading me to Pat’s blog, leading me to you! I am positive that there is an easier way that my grandchildren could quickly do!!!
Please keep exploring your artistic urges! Kris
